Death and Rebirth

Death is but a step in life. When someone dies after about 1 minute their spirit migrates to the Spirit Realm, known as the Miasma, to enter the great carnival of the afterlife. When they are done with the carnival, they are able to get onto the Ferris Wheel of Rebirth. After that ride their accomplishments, goals, ignorance and cravings decide which Realm they get off on. At which point they are reborn into the world. The origin of where they are reborn from, is what influences what they are born as.

The Celestial Realms include Ceulum, Lua and Oculto, as well as the Abyss, which is the realm of Dreams. Then there are the Elemental Realms of Fire (Gu), Water (Ua), Air (Ar), Earth (Ra), Wood (Re), Metal (Al), Shadow (So), Magma (Ma), Lightning (Io), Ice (Lo), Gem (Em), Light (Uz), Bloom (Or), or Smoke (Sa). Finally there is the Living World, which is formed by the Spirit Realm, the Sun Realm and the Realm Below.

Most of these Realms have their own species and some of them are more common than others. Those of the Sun Realm would be the most common. But any of these could be born to the people of the Sun Realm as part of their reincarnation. Because of this, regardless of your species, you can have the culture of another. For example a Drakin could be born in an Abelhoa colony, and follow those philosophies and culture, instead of those more commonly associated with Drakins.

While a Drakin is someone who is reincarnated from someone who passed away in the Celestial Realm of Ceulum, and whose actions in that life led them to be reincarnated in the Living World, it does not mean that they were a Drakin there. It means that they used to be a dragon, and here they are a Drakin.
